Blessed Among Us – Brother Roger

After WWII, Brother Roger founded the ecumenical Taizé community in France. The community has developed into a pilgrimage site. Each year over 100,000 young people from around the world make the trip to Taizé for prayer, study, sharing, and communal work. They live in the spirit of kindness, simplicity and reconciliation.

New Years Eve Customs – German families gather around the Christmas tree on New Year’s eve to thank the Jesus for all the blessings they have received throughout the year. It would also be a nice time to sing or recite the ancient Te Deum hymn of praise that is still used by Anglicans, Lutherans, Methodists, Reformed, and Roman Catholics.
